Just lyrics and a melody so far. Havent recorded it yet.

Fall From Grace

I will die a poor man

And I may die alone

But I will die a happy man

For true love I have known

But now she lives in memories

In the creases of my mind

The biggest lie they tell you

Is that all is healed with time

So I search in this bottle

For all those day dream truths

And realize that her love

Is no longer mine to loose

Cause now she loves another

I can hear the cold wind blow

My demons threw it all away

1000 years ago

I will die a poor man

And I may die alone

But I will die a happy man

For true love I have known

But now she lives in memories

In the creases of my mind

The biggest lie they tell you

Is that all is healed with time

Every time I close my eyes

I can see her face

An angel bringing mercy

For a soul that fell from grace

Now all it is forgiven

With nothing but a prayer

But the scar is unrelenting

Of the love that we once shared

I will die a poor man

And I may die alone

But I will die a happy man

For true love I have known

But now she lives in memories

In the creases of my mind

The biggest lie they tell you

Is that all is healed with time

break

Every time I close my eyes

I can see her face

An angel bringing mercy

For a soul that fell from grace

I will die a poor man

And I may die alone

But I will die a happy man

For true love I have known

So I search in this bottle

And realize that her love

Is no longer mine to loose.

I like the lyric overall, but I think this ^ verse misses the mark. The bottle line is a bit of a cliche. And "day dream truths" feels like you're trying too hard.

It was suppose to read

Trying to find these day dream truths

I will see about the bottls line. It does come off as cliche. Thanks.

I can feel the emotion when I read this. Seems pretty personal. Whether it is or not, both this and Halfway Home seem like very personal sentiments, and that's a great thing. Not, trying to line-step or anything, but I get the sense that songwriting is very cathartic for you?

Anyway, I'm enjoying reading and hearing your stuff.
