Members onelife Posted May 25, 2016 Members Share Posted May 25, 2016 The Effects Loop on Fender amplifiers (Preamp out - Power Amp In) is designed to accommodate stomp boxes so the signal level is quite low. In fact, you can plug a guitar into the Power Amp In and get a reasonable amount of volume out of the amplifier. The low level signal means that you can indeed send the Preamp Out (of certain amplifiers) to the input of another amplifier. If, however, you a really nasty distortion that you cannot get rid of by turning down the gain on the receiving amplifier then the preamp out is too hot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
