Members Anderton Posted May 10, 2016 Members Posted May 10, 2016 First McDonald's offering techno placemats, and now this....brings new meaning to "heavy metal," doncha think?
Phil O'Keefe Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 That IS cool! I even kind of like the way it looks!
Members tbry Posted May 10, 2016 Members Posted May 10, 2016 Be careful...could get all cut up... Wonder why that design. Can Fender sue for Trademark infringement if it were mass produced?
Members Folder Posted May 11, 2016 Members Posted May 11, 2016 Can Fender sue for Trademark infringement if it were mass produced? Too late for that now. http://blogs.findlaw.com/free_enterprise/2009/03/fender-guitars-denied-trademark-registration-trademarks-and-product-design.html
Members 1001gear Posted May 11, 2016 Members Posted May 11, 2016 Printed barbed wire; could the pickups be far behind? Can't wait for that food synth.
Members t_e_l_e Posted May 11, 2016 Members Posted May 11, 2016 that piece is looking awesome. altough i fear the barbwire while playing could hurt here is a detailed story with pictures about the building processhttp://www.oddguitars.com/heavymetal.html and its not just 3d printed and ready, there is a lot of stuff to do afterwards, but its really cool
Members blue2blue Posted May 11, 2016 Members Posted May 11, 2016 Yeah, man I had a gold plated one like that, matched my Corvette. But it kept ripping my custom-made Nudie cowboy shirts...
Members UstadKhanAli Posted May 20, 2016 Members Posted May 20, 2016 Wonder what it sounds like. Not really my aesthetic. If I were going that route, I would probably do some sort of cool quasi-steampunk thing or riff on H.R. Giger stuff and see what comes up. I know both have been done a fair bit, but I think there's room for coming up with something insanely cool nonetheless, especially with quasi-steampunk stuff.
