Members twosticks
I thought that I had responded to this before, but I guess I didn't. Thanks for the video and showing the different grips! Is okay if a right handed drummer ever uses the same grip as you on a right hand set?? Sometimes I do that when my hand cramps up due to age, I don't do it all the time, is just that sometime my forefinger locks up with a matched grip and I haven't played in a while. ;-) What a drag it is getting old! If I put Icy Hot or something on it, then my fingers and hands are all greasy. ;-)
Members 1001gear
I still swear by the caveman grip. Many rockers are close to mastering it (not really) It does allow 100% control over the stick and consequent dynamics/articulation. I think it may be too time consuming ( ooh dats punny) to master - "OMG REAL musicianhip!1?/" for the kiddies but if the genre is to evolve, that's the nuts of it.
