Members tbry Posted April 19, 2016 Members Posted April 19, 2016 For those interested in the bass player that played on tons of hits in the 60's -70's. If the mods want to relocate this...ok. CAN"T REMOVE LINK!
Members philboking Posted April 20, 2016 Members Posted April 20, 2016 The link jumps to a clickbait site.
Phil O'Keefe Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Yeah, the link isn't taking us to the interview...
Members nat whilk II Posted April 21, 2016 Members Posted April 21, 2016 Ms. Kaye's website has a couple of interviews. https://www.carolkaye.com/ Interestingly, if you've watched the Wrecking Crew documentary, she has some strong opinions about that movie. nat whilk ii

Members tbry Posted April 21, 2016 Author Members Posted April 21, 2016 This might work http://www.vulture.com/2016/04/carol-kaye-sets-record-straight.html
Phil O'Keefe Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Weird - I've never seen that before. I'll let the IT folks know about it. I did add the correct link to the OP, but the incorrect one is still there right below it, and I can see no way to remove it either. Like I said - weird! Sorry about that!
Members Notes_Norton Posted April 24, 2016 Members Posted April 24, 2016 I was a kickstarter for The Wrecking Crew movie and she has plenty to say on that one. I'm not a kickstarter fan, but it was the only way to see that movie around here. In my bass playing days (when saxophones were out of favor) Carol was my prime influence. She was capable of doing a lot more than she did on those records, but she always served the song and never too the spotlight away from the artist. That's what a session bassist should do. BTW, I've heard her play jazz guitar, and she's quite good at that too. Insights and incites by Notes
