Members dcastar
Passive boxes, eh? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the "P" in PRX ???

Members Rezrover
Looks like they're just designed to sell Crown XTi2's. http://harmanprogroup.blogspot.com/2012/01/harmans-jbl-professional-debuts-prx400.html
Members Vito Corleone
Passive boxes, eh?Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the "P" in PRX ??? Then what does the "M" stand for in MRX?
Members Miko Man
Then what does the "M" stand for in MRX? If I was in a frisky mood, I might suggest "meh"; that would fit if the J in the JRX line stood for "junk". Mark C.

Members agedhorse
I asked the same question and the JBL guy had no good answer either. The PRX-418 looks awfully close to the SRX-718 too.
Members heath_eld
Where are they? Are they replacing the MRX?
Members heath_eld
Ah i see them. Not on the JBL Asia pacific website yet! Looks good if that means anything! 8 Ohm sub too. Like it.
Members Miko Man
At first I wondered whether the new boxes were an effort to achieve further economies of scale by using the same basic cabinets for the 400 and 600 series, but the dimensions and details are a little different. But the family resemblence is undeniable, and perhaps distinctive. Mark C.

Members agedhorse
I dunno, it looked taller and less deep, no? Different form factor but similar cubic volume and maybe the same driver. Don't know and could not get good info.
Members Unalaska
Well the JRX is still an old school carpet covered monster. JBL tried to sell the MP200 series and priced them in-between SF (now JRX) and the MP400. It just didn't sell. These asthetically look really nice. Hopefully they are putting decent stuff in them.
