Members Bobby1Note
I can't even begin to imagine, how many aspiring young female vocalists, Whitney inspired. Sad, sad day. R.I.P.
Members rodclement
Met her once with her daughter and Bobby Brown, she was very polite but looked horrible, such a shame, one of the true voices of my generation. Rod

Members OneEng
A sad day indeed. One of the best vocalists in a generation. She reclaimed the right of the voice as being the most important part of the song in a time when techno and other generas would have had it otherwise. Those powerhouse crystal clear and meaningful vocals will be missed
Members StratGuy22
It's ironic that Ozzy Osbourne has outlived Whitney Houston. Mad props to her, for actually singing. None of that Autotune BS

Members agedhorse
A friend of mine toured a bunch of west coast dates as a system engineer and monitor engineer a few years back, it wasn't a matter of "if", it was "when" Very sad. Sound anything like any number of those abusers who went before her?
Members Rezrover
I just hope it doesn't turn into another Johnny Cash type of thing where everybody came out of the woodworks about how they've always been a Johnny Cash fan but couldn't name three Johnny Cash tunes other than Fulsom Prison, Ring of Fire and his remake of Hurt. CMS Author Craig Vecchione Posted February 13, 2012 CMS Author Share Posted February 13, 2012 I just hope it doesn't turn into another Johnny Cash type of thing where everybody came out of the woodworks about how they've always been a Johnny Cash fan but couldn't name three Johnny Cash tunes other than Fulsom Prison, Ring of Fire and his remake of Hurt. I couldn't help commenting yesterday afternoon when I heard one of her songs on a local station...that we ignored her for years, and now all the media are scrambling to make a buck off her death. Seems relevent: When are you gonna come downWhen are you going to landI should have stayed on the farmI should have listened to my old manYou know you can't hold me foreverI didn't sign up with youI'm not a present for your friends to openThis boy's too young to be singing the blueschorus-So goodbye yellow brick roadWhere the dogs of society howlYou can't plant me in your penthouseI'm going back to my plough Back to the howling old owl in the woodsHunting the horny back toadOh I've finally decided my future liesBeyond the yellow brick roadWhat do you think you'll do thenI bet that'll shoot down your planeIt'll take you a couple of vodka and tonicsTo set you on your feet againMaybe you'll get a replacementThere's plenty like me to be foundMongrels who ain't got a pennySniffing for tidbits like you on the ground[repeat chorus]
Members Rezrover
Yeah, someone is gonna make a boat load of money off of her death. Kinda funny that they could care less about the road she was on till she actually died.
Members Rezrover
It was gonna happen: Sony Music and Apple are being criticized today for capitalizing on the death of Whitney Houston by raising the price of her Ultimate Collection by nearly five dollars.
