Members Izolde-Asia
I'd love to hear everyones opinion on this one. I had my heart set on a ZED R16 (Allen and Heath), or possibly the ZED420. After a chat with the local vender/top sound guy in this area (in his opinion ), he says the Soundcraft GB2 is the way to go. Or a GL (Allen and Heath). This will be used for live sound in small to medium sized venues with the odd larger venue thrown in. All my FX are outboard rack mounted. Any other pertinent details?? and... go
Members Axisplayer
GL series would be my choice. Zed is entry level. Don't have drive time on a GB2 so can't comment.

Members Unalaska
GB2's are very nice, I like the master section of them over the GL2400. That said I own a GL2400-424 and an LX7. The GL is definitly a better board physically and the LX7 is very close in features to the GL. The GL also has inputs coming from the back and not from the top where dirt etc can get into the contacts easier. Whatever you do make sure you buy a roadcase for it asap, and one that's made for that console. Road ready does nice cases for them and that's what my GL has been in for the last 7 years. Members TimmyP
I prefer the A&H EQ to the Soundcraft. I prefer the 2200 master section to that of the 2400.
