The long-running PreSonus DigiMax series has been very popular for those who do, and it's been updated with a new model... The DigiMax DP88. At $699 "street", it's an affordable way to add a lot of preamps to your rig. Since it has DB25 ports, it would also pair nicely with the Cymatic uTrack 24 - three DP88's and a uTrack 24 would make a very mobile 24 track rig that would be great for recording live shows without having to tap into the live board, or use a splitter.
