Members wasjamieb
Okay guys; I think my old Kurzweil PC88MX finally bit the dust tonight. Been having issues, and I noticed the display was fading in and out. Went to switch it off, and I could feel heat coming off the power cord. I reached to unplug it, and it was so hot, it burned my hand! Been a good one since the mid-90s. Now I am left with the issue of finding a replacement. I know I want to get an 88-key instrument, as I do some gigs with mine as solo piano. I will use it in both the groups I have been playing in, as well. I need something that will work for a variety cover band. And, hopefully, won't break the bank! Need some advice, as I will attempt to move on this pretty quickly. Doesn't have to be the latest and greatest. I am actually thinking on something from the Motif family. (Not the MM8, as I have the MM6). Maybe MO8? Again, affordability is a factor. Thanks! jamieb+++++
Members Vito Corleone
I use a MOXF8. Affordable. Sounds great. (All the Motif sounds). Lightweight. (As 88-key boards go). Cant beat it for the -$$$ IMO.
