Members synthlord18
I do a blues solo, electric guitar keyboard (piano/B3 mainly, some sax) and harmonica. i currently use unpowered JBL EON 15s powered by a Yamaha Powered Mixer. I don't play loud but I think 10" is too small for the punch I want. Seeking opinions. Wieght is a factor. Thanks
Members Shaster
The stock answer; "best" and inexpensive don't go together. What is your budget?

Members Marko
Check out the Alto speakers, maybe the Tourmax SX112. Not necessarily recommending them, they're just inexpensive and if you'ren not pushing them hard, they might do the trick.

Members jonthomas
The Last few M-Audio GSR 12 at PSSL may work for you. So far so good and at 30lbs they are perfect monitors for my wife's band. Mine came to $217 each shipped.

Members jonthomas
Still confused about the 10" speaker in a JBL EON15? If it is a EON10 adding a sub/bassbin of some sort as mentioned above would be the ticket, the Peavey plastic tub subs are light and cheap. Bought 4 to check em out, then bought another 2. Have used them for several gigs as wedges and they work pretty well. They don't have the balls of a PXR612M or other higher end 12, but for the bluegrass stuff I do they're fine.
Members tlbonehead
Nope... at least not in my initial response. And depending on what mixer, he can run powered speakers well sure, you CAN.
