Members PM99
We just bought ourselves our first mixer and started using it in rehearsals. Had it two weeks and problem is we can't seem to get the onboard effects to work. We've read the manual but still no luck Is there a trick to using the onboard effects that isn't in the manual or is it screwed and i should send it back for a replacement? It also has quite a loud hiss to it which i think worsens when the fx master is increased. Thanks for any help.
Members BillESC
Your best bet is to return it for a refund. Mackie is not the company it once was. Look at Allen & Heath's line of mixers, better built, better features and probably a better price for reliability.
Members Unalaska
+1 for returning it. There are many options in that size mixer that don't say mackie

Members PM99
Exchanged it for an Allen & Heath ZED12fx will get it tomorrw night. Cost a bit more but we decided to bite the bullet on this one as the Mackie unit seems to have ongoing probs especially with the fx unit.
