Members FitchFY
Anyone catch The Simpsons last night? Homer starts playing bass, buys a bunch of stage lights, and started a dad rock cover band with town residents. I saw a LOT of musician humor in that episode, especially when Homer went off on Gabriel-era Genesis vs. Collins-era Genesis. Great episode! Members FitchFY
The episode gets funnier to me each time I watch it! "The crowd is about to experience the magic of a cover band! The thrill of live music without the threat of hearing anything new!" - Homer Simpson
Members Blackbird013
So.. how long before a pro-level cover band ironically uses the "dad band" image as it's image... complete with Hawaiian shirts, music stands, and khaki shorts, but the presentation and push of a serious, professional cover band? Members PRSJim
This was the first Simpsons episode I caught in years, and I laughed my butt off. You had to love the ending when the real band had a bad case of diarrhea and Covercraft rocked the house. Wasn't the Simpson's creator, Matt Groening (sp?) in a cover band with Stephen King or or something?
