Members jeff42
What country tunes would you put in a medley that would have the most wide appeal? Modern/ crossover/ classic whatever...It would be nice to have a little bit of everything in it... maybe 3-5 songs. I'm not a big country fan so I am not sure what to suggest but we are thinking of adding something.
Members Old Fart Rocker
From my limited experience playing country, it seems that the modern/crossover tunes are going over the best. I started a thread yesterday and listed our 3 sets for an upcoming gig. I think if you took 3-5 songs from sets 2 and 3 you would have a good group of songs to play. Those have been working good for us. Holy crap this place is dead. You used to be able to start a thread and get at least some responses. Started that thread yesterday and "crickets". Members jeff42
yep it is pretty dead. so what would be the 5 songs YOU would pick?
Members Old Fart Rocker
Hmmmm.......For sure I would pick Country Girl, Cruise, Save A Horse. Riverbank by Brad Paisley is hot right now. It's on the "to learn" list for next rehearsal. Also, Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks is a crowd pleaser/sing-a-long. These songs also crossover very well. Members Old Fart Rocker
Life Is A Highway is a cool tune. Fun to play. I played it with a previous band. Hmmm...might have to add that one to the "to learn" list.
Members elbowtx
We're doing Neon Light by Blake Shelton. Last I looked, it was #3 on the charts. It's a 1 chord song (o_0) which makes it a prime candidate for playing it in a medley.... and everybody seems to like it.
