Well, I am not in a band but I do get to sing with one on a fairly regular basis. Here's a video of my singing Cockers You Can Leave Your Hat On with the Stacey Collins Band last night. Its like listening to the song with the pitch adjusted so it sounds slower. Its like the band is trying to play it slower or holding back but want to speed it up. Maybe its done in a lower key as well? The vocal delay works in some parts of the song then others its out of time. I told Stacey I felt like I was singing in slow motion. It's usually a better pace than that. Ill have to get my wife to record it again sometime when it is better pacing.
