Effect pedals with a 'tap in' port for external syncing?

I just picked up a MoltenVoltage CTL-Sync. http://www.moltenvoltage.com/products/CONTROL_SYNC_by_PedalSync_Classic_Effect_MIDI_Clock_Synchronizer_by_Molten_Voltage.html

 

I meant to get the CV-Sync instead, which is next. But wondering if I should hold on to the CTL-Sync so I can sync up other pedals with the 'tap in' port.

I remember it being all-the-rage a few years back around these parts. What's the general consensus about it now?

 

 

I currently have the EHX 8-Step Sequencer and the EHX Deluxe Memory Man with Tap Tempo.

 

Any other pedal recommendations that have a 'tap in' port?

I love my Moog Murf. It is pretty versatile, so it is more than just a step filter. I use a cheapo metronome as a tap tempo controler. It may not be the most elegant solution, but it works for me!

Of all of the Moogerfooger pedals, the MURF has always interested me the most. I need to check it out. Great recommendation.

I just became discovered that the Cusack Tap-a-Whirl not only has a tap-in port, but also has stereo outputs for ping-pong. That is a feature that the Semaphore does not have. Hmmm....
