Phil O'Keefe
I thought this looked rather interesting. It's a small sample, and not very scientific, but the results are somewhat interesting, and you can add your opinion to the poll. http://www.onoise.com/whats-your-favorite-daw/
Members WRGKMC
You'll probably find as many different polls are programs. Each will be slanted depending on the groups who participate and which voters are being targeted by the manufacturers. Here's one form this year. It simply says Internet poll but given the DAW's that are most popular its likely hitting allot of mac users. http://www.digitalmusicnews.com/perm...stations-world Here's another. http://audio-production-software-rev...enreviews.com/ Here's one slanted by Audiofanzine, (Boarders Media) whose been bought out by Popular Holdings. They put Sony Acid at the top of the list. Seeing that the mother company owned by China and they do sell Sony products in their stores, the slant here is expected. http://en.audiofanzine.com/plugin-se...best-daws.html You would really need to combine a good poll with actual product sales. You could have people using Products they don't like because of cost, but people usually rate the products they have purchased high because they don't know the other products well enough to rate them. You also have the dollar ranges and platforms that limit what a poll would say. The best way to get a good poll is to make everyone use all the products before they rate them. I know a few of those I'd even give a negative poll rating if it was possible. Others I may have never used of used the latest versions so my opinions wouldn't be valid. But it is what it is. Its just not going to tell you anything besides the popularity of the product within the group that took the poll and if that group all uses the same programs its going to be useless.
