Members zoink
I've been reading and posting at Gearslutz lately (past couple of months), but still somehow miss and prefer HC. I've also noticed a few familiar names from HC that have migrated over, though I changed my handle. Not to beat a dead horse, but it's too bad they killed this forum. Members cresshead
i think the months and months of poor performance on this forum last year killed it...it's working okay now but people migrated over to other places when this forum was struggling to work. Members mnewb1
I could not agree more...I've been drifting back here, and on EG forum, but it is a ghost town of what it once was.
Members Casio Man
The new layout turned me into a lurker. It's like lurking in cemetery. Can make you feel funny in long run: The barrier was not meant to be crossed. The ground is sour.
Members tspit74
Used to live it hear but the place just completely died. I'd like to participate more. But I check it about once a month and the threads I've commented on haven't received a reply. In fact, I predict that I kill this thread by replying. Also, I've got so much gear by now and lesser and lesser time to use it, that I just can't talk about Rhodes and moogs anymore. I have everything and don't know anything about the new stuff and have no interest. Also don't want to advise guitar players on what's the best keyboard for Pink Floyd sounds for under 100 bucks. Members Ghostpaw
Not to beat a dead horse' date=' but it's too bad they killed this forum. [/quote']You aren't beating a dead horse. When I first read your post I thought you were. I thought, "Things are picking up again. We should be optimistic." My perspective changed this week. THEY seem determined to keep beating the (nearly) dead horse.

Members RoadRanger
Cool, I couldn't figure out how to do that - you have to click on the underscored "A" button to get into the advanced editor.
Members maarkr
no wonder they have trouble keeping people... now you have to get your old password deleted, put in a new one... anyway, hope it gets better... bring Hai Guyz back, that was entertainment. Members Anderton
vBulletin has indeed changed quite a bit since the previous version that powered this forum...but I don't think it will take too long to figure it out.

Members donaldcrunk
lil baby avatars! when my bookmark stopped working i thought this place was gone for good. glad to see that's not the case.
Members Ghostpaw
Now that I've had time to poke around I am very glad of this change. This is a much better interface. It just feels right. The response is really sluggish right now (it is hard to even post this) but I'm certain that will subside once the database is finished and the upgrade is complete. Members 1001gear
I miss some of the Lithium functionality - HTML for Dummies etc ... frankly right now it's a little like being stuck in the Twilight Zone. Can't wait for 100% implementation.

Members Etienne Rambert
I still prefer HC to Gearslutz. I'm not sure why. GS is loaded with pro's and experts. This place may not have as many. But it kind of feels like home to me. I don't go to music forums much anymore. Very busy doing work-related stuff. Members wwwjd
probably wont be back. site is too slow now compared to previously. they should just pull the plug.
Members wwwjd
good lord this dog is slow! Someone shoot it already. this is unusable - AIN NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT! too slow, moving on.
Members goldphinga
I think this place will get back to being great again. Gearslutz threads always turn into flame wars, and its hard to get reliable info. I trust peoples opinions on here a lot more still. Now that the forums are more elegant (i think so anyway) hopefully we can inject some energy back into the old place! But yes its VERY slow right now.
