Members elscorcho29 Posted May 17, 2004 Members Share Posted May 17, 2004 i'm a guitarist/drummer that plays indie/experimental music looking into samplers to incorporate into my songs. i'm looking into the sp-808ex based on recommendations, but i was wondering what's the difference between sp-808 and the sp-808ex? on ebay, the ex goes about twice the price of an ex. is it worth the extra money to get the ex than getting the normal one? Members Analog Kid Posted May 17, 2004 Members Share Posted May 17, 2004 besides the case the difference is one has an internal 100mb zip drive and the other a 250.the old black SP-808 can easily be upgraded to the new OS.I have a SP-808ex and the zip discs give me real problems with corruption.otherwise it's a pretty cool box.
