Members Tumababa
I got this new hammond, a vs-300 I believe and managed to chop it myself(Surprisingly easy to do) but I have some concerns before I start gigging with it. Specifically, what I did was take the leads off of the speaker and soldered them to a quarter inch out. Is this going to blow my amp? I know a guy who ran his wurlitzer's speaker out into his amp and nearly destroyed the damn thing but the hammond doesn't seem to have nearly as much power. Let me know. Members b3keys
Don't have a clue. But here is a suggestion: Join the Yahoo Groups: The Hammond Zone. Those cats will definitely know the answer! Is this going to blow my amp? DON'T DO THAT !!!!!!! leave the speaker inline, wire the 1/4" out in _parallel_ to the speaker, and all will be well. the speaker must present a load to the amplifier in the organ for a line out to work right. you could also use a 10 watt/10 ohm resistor as well, or a pair, but those have a tendancy to get hot.
