This is a custom free floating bubinga snare that I put together. I ordered a bubinga stave shell from Francois of Conception Unix custom drums. I had it made with one bearing edge / one flat edge, sized at 3.5" deep to accommodate a pearl free floating snare drum rig in 14x5 configuration. The result is a very deep and powerfully snappy sound in a really solid snare drum. I've taken excellent care of this drum and the finish of the shell. Ill post a few photos and can add a video of it being played live outdoors with no mic. This drum means a lot to me, it really is a special instrument. The craftmanship on the shell is flawless and the finish is a beautiful example of the African wood. I'm planning to list it on eBay within the next few days, but will post here first hoping it finds a good home with a serious drummer. I'm asking $450 obo plus shipping (I originally put over $500 into the setup). Please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
