Members saw wave analog Posted January 31, 2007 Members Posted January 31, 2007 i have a roland sh09 up for sale or trade the front panel is sort of rusty and has a lot of paint on the lower half missing. very mad max looking. ive been meaning to strip it down and repaint it but never got around to it. the stick part of the pitchbend wheel is broken off. the lfo waveform switch is hard to slide, and the sustain slider retriggers the envelope at a speed determined by the attack slider if it is in the lower 10% of its range.. produces some very freaked out effects sounds great, holds a stable tune, all keys and sliders work great. this is the beater synth that ive had forever open to any offers.. trades dont even have to be music related. i dont use it much anymore so i figure ill see whats out there
Members saw wave analog Posted February 1, 2007 Author Members Posted February 1, 2007 cell phone pic is the best i can do, its my only camera haha the description is 100% honest and lists all of its issues so it sounds like the thing is worse than it is. dont get me wrong, its not a museum peice by any means, but it is a super reliable board with stable tuning and good keys i cleaned and rebuilt all of the sliders, the keyboard and the switches a year or so ago. the reason the lfo rate switch is hard to move is because the little metal ball in it that makes it click into position popped out and went flying across the room when i was redoing the switches, so i bent the casing in a bit to prevent it from being able to slide around loosely on its own it needs a 2$ switch, and probably a new sustain slider, and that would make it fully functional... although i actually prefer it with the weird sustain slider, because it can do 95% of what it would be able to do with a normal one, but the envelope retrigger can be used as a very unique second lfo capable of some very fm sounding stuff.. it sounds a lot like the molymod on sequential synths actually i never fixed it because i like the effect heh.. my intention was always to angle the control panel up, strip the paint off and polish the front panel, backlight the control board so the slider holes glowed blue, and give it wooden end cheeks, but it never happened obviously anyway, thats all there is to know about the thing.. so trade me something cool for it

Members SUPERBANANABOMB Posted February 7, 2007 Members Posted February 7, 2007 I am interested and I am in southern Indiana. I'll be honest with you and tell you that I don't want to pay top dollar for this synth... just to avoid a lot of haggling and bargaining, how about you PM me a quote of the very cheapest price you will sell this for, including shipping to 47713. If the price is nice, I'll buy.
Members saw wave analog Posted February 7, 2007 Author Members Posted February 7, 2007 sorry i thought i had posted a price in here 275 shipped or 250 picked up from south bend price is set in stone, ill just hang on to it and mod it eventually if no one wants it for what its worth to me
Members SUPERBANANABOMB Posted February 7, 2007 Members Posted February 7, 2007 Yeah, I don't think you're going to have much luck selling at that price given its' condition. The most I'd pay for that is $150. Good luck though.
Members saw wave analog Posted February 7, 2007 Author Members Posted February 7, 2007 yea i dont really expect to but someone might want it so i figured id put it up. reason i want 250 for it is because the only thing really wrong with it is its ugly. after i get done modding it it will look quite sexy so ill be able to get full price out of it if i want to sell it afterwards, and that would only cost me 30 bucks in parts and a few hours in labor.. so... it has some extra value to me
