Ampeg SVP-Pro (newer black/gray model). 5 tube pre-amp comes equipped with JJ Electronics 12ax7's and an Electro-Harmonics 12au7. Always racked and kept in excellent condition with no noise/hum issues. $350 plus shipping. QSC RMX 1450. Excellent condition, always racked and never pushed all the way. $275 plus shipping. Members thetaurus Posted December 8, 2007 Author Members Share Posted December 8, 2007 Well, I have a hard time describing tone, but I guess I'd say that it's really full and "rounded out" with the Ampeg tone. I used it through an Ampeg SVT 8x10 and played an American Jazz bass with Bassline Quarter pounder pickups. The problem is that I'm not "changing", I'm just not playing live anymore and I can't justify having this kind of gear around.
