And while part of me wants to hold on to it forever, I also would like to have something I would get more use out of. The instrument is in near-mint condition, with some very minor corrosion on the bridge, tuning keys, and controls. If you're considering buying this, you probably already know how amazing the L-1000 really is. My ideal trade would be for a pre'94 G&L Legacy with a maple fingerboard. The thing is a beast but the tone is absolutely amazing. I just put a strap on it and tried it on; it's well balanced.
