Members cybermooks
I'd put up some rare goodies I have for you guys but don't want to use my site. Any suggestions for a freebie site type thing where I can upload some sounds?
Members clusterchord
sorry Cyber dunno if things like Geocities still exist (where they offered some free host space).. ok, here's another demo with Super Jupiter Rev4, it's a percussive synth i've done in style of one of those Virus C presets i've heard on 'Vengeance' trance demos. I ran it thru a vintage analog multitap delay i borrowed for a few days, called Binson Echorec EC8, if anyone is familiar with this gadget. It's from 1968 and it uses a magnetic disk instead of tape, so its undestructible, and has 8 playback and rec heads. MKS80-V4-Binson Echorec
Members CoolColJ
Interesting, analog tape probabaly sounds better though with all the warble and tape compression Does sound much better then those BBD analog delay units. Do you like it ClusterChord? Will have to pickup a Rev4 MKs80+ programmer one day to add to my rev 5. A bit of an overkill I guess, but they are so reliable and fuss free

Do you like it ClusterChord? it does have compression as well, and you have tone controls, and as you can hear from extreme feedback settings, the sound becomes lo-fi destroyed in a 'good' way, similar to RE201 but again different. Only thing i didnt like is, you dont have continous control over delay time, but by turning on/off switches for 8 playback and 8 rec heads , you can arrive at different delay times. one used in demo was 1-4-7 , it came out 117 BPM. all in all, i liked it, but didnt have $ right now, maybe next month. also, the same guy (a friend who is a producer/collector) offered me RE201 as well. i'll be getting that to try out next week. i think i'll save for that, if its in good condition (not too noisy). Will have to pickup a Rev4 MKs80+ programmer one day to add to my rev 5. A bit of an overkill I guess, but they are so reliable and fuss free yep, well i'm going for that JP8, overkill or not. i'm thinking JP8/A6/Rhodes with RE201 = analog heaven. Members CoolColJ
RE201 are noisey RE301 is better The later and bigger ones are cleaner, like my SRE-555 or RE-501 (no rack mount version)
Members clusterchord
well , he has all of them, and he told me that 201 has the 'sound' i want. that 555 and 501 are much cleaner but lack some of the 201 'magic'. maybe it's all BS, all i know that several recording that feature tape echo that i want have we're using 201. go figure.. well, i'll see next week, he ordered a new tape for it. who knows, maybe i'll persuade him to let me have a 555. he bought it last month.. Members clusterchord
a friend gave his Roland RS09 Organ Strings to check out for a few days. I sampled it and made a small demo. It sounds sort of like a cheaper, less animated Solina. (btw, i got Solina as well - sampling/demo is in the works ) . Strings have more saw than pulse wave quality. Standard Roland ENSEMBLE circuit is responsible for most of its fatness and motion. it can be sed on other synths - it features audio input to this effect. lfo, single attack release env, divide down technology etc. Organ is cheesy , Vox variety, 2 4 8 16 drawbars - didnt bother to sample it. demo has four 'sounds': strings w ENS, who ENS, str dbld w Organ and Str dbld at 8va RS09_Organ-Strings
Members clusterchord
ok, here's two clips i've done with Solina String Ensemble. one is straight chords, other is run thru Moogerfooger phaser set at 12-stage. Solina is quite noisy - if its playing on an isolated track, it definetely needs some Noise Reduction plug-in. When you have typical slower attack and release settings, playing polyphonic is a bit tricky since theres only one envelope, same as RS09. if u hold one note while changing others - all other notes will have gate env unfortunately. Solina Chords Solina MF103 12-stage
Members clusterchord
you gotta hear this great track done solely on Andromeda (multimode/internal fx) - contributed by J C Jordan on our A6 mailing list (a6@code404.com). since i liked it so much, i asked him to re-post here.. foundation(instrumental mix)

Members clusterchord
dunno, the SOLINA CHORDS mp3 i forgot to limit at usual -0.3dB so it has 'overs' here and there, but not to noticeable. if you're reffering to the last solina example, that's just shitty playing on my part.. Members Jan Nemecek
done a quickie Neuron demo... http://www.jannemecek.net/misc/synths/neuron/dreamdrone.mp3 loaded 2 samples (drone and some strings), added stereo spread, compressor and a bit of reverb, put slicer in 3d mode (to make it pan and detune a bit on the way) and set the blender to Dual Sphere mode...hit C3, record...nothing external, only neuron... Members ExplodingBoy
These are some decent demos I found online but still don't even do it the justice that I've heard the thing do. It is IMO the best controller ever made and one of the greatest romplers ever made.
