These are what Paul Gilbert used before the Paul Gilbert model was made. The rumor was that they ceased production on these because they were as good as the Jem model. I can tell you this I have a Jem and this 770 truly has lower faster action than it. I aso have 2 other 550's which is what I use at gigs so I'm a little over stocked with Ibanez. I feel the need for something else. There are 3 chips on this guitar. 2 large ones one on the front and one on the back, and a small one on the top by the body contour. If you know Ibanez finishes this is typical for these finishes to chip. There is also a burn mark from a cigarette on the headstock, not really a burn more like a discoloration, but it needs to be said. Currently there is an ESP arming adjuster in the trem which will be removed unless you want to buy it. This adjuster is brand new and cost me $63.00 so It will go with the guitar for an added $50. Comes with an Ibanez Harshell case. Neck is perfect, no split by locking nut, neck pocket is great as well.

$600 + Shipping or ??? for trade

damn thats a sick guitar. what would you be willing to trade?

I'm pretty open to trades I could use a combo, but I only play tube amps. Guitars, I'm heavy in Ibanez, but can always use stuff so hit me up with what you can, I'm reasonable.

Someone had asked so I'll post this, and I'm just going to leave the arming adjuster on the guitar, no added charge.

How does the arming adjuster work?
It's spring loaded. You adjust it so that when the tremolo is at rest the arming adjuster just touches the block. When you dive it no longer touches the block. When the block returns it will comes back to rest right on the adjuster. If you want to pull up there is more tension but you can pull up on your tremolo also. I keep my adjuster tight enough so that if I break a string the guitar will stay in tune, and I can pull up but it takes a more noticeable pull to do it. It works great. Kinda like a tremol-no but you don't have to reach behind the guitar to do anything.
