Members search now
strung with 009s. I need some help. The first one started sounding weak high up ,with fret noise. I sent it back and they said " the 19th to 22nd frets would not be seated properly" which could mean many things but it was basically {censored}ed -up . It was replaced with a warranty replacement and the next one worked great too when I 1st put 009s on it and set relief at 007. Now Its doing THE SAME DAMN THING. All I can do at this point is hope that my usual set up of 007 is wrong even though it worked great for a week. I cant afford to keep sending them back . you can hear them both here ,the original guitar was used for "Willie the Blimp" The new one for "Dr Richard Betts" ,...a little song I quickly threw together for the fun of it to play my wonderful new guitar. If I played those high bent notes on it now it would be embarassingly anemic. www.soundclick.com/artist/5/davemusselman_music.htm
Members larryguitar
First, you missed when you posted-this is electric guitars 'for sale.' Easy enough to do, BTW. Every guitar sets up differently. Using a predetermined number would never work for me. You've got to find the set up that works best for that neck, those strings and your playing style ON THAT GUITAR. (I certainly play a tele differently than a Jackson, for instance.) I usually start out dead straight and see what bridge height I need to play cleanly. Then add a touch of relief and see what bridge height will work. Somewhere there's an optimal mix of bridge height and relief for you and that neck, and you have to keep poking around until you find it.
