I bought this on a whim in 2002, then went on to build a Warmoth Strat. This Taco strat has never been played EVER, just sat on my workbench since purchased. Still has the plastic on the guard and the trem cavity cover. It is a maple neck. Will take and post photos when I get home from work tonight. I am looking for 299.00 plus shipping, but will entertain all offers. I am trying to put together the cash for an amp modification, but some trade offers may be considered, as I am a gasser hardcore and have been know to flip flop often. :thu:

These are not sharp at all, my Taco Tele's are pretty bad, so I know what you're talking about.

I know...whats up with this on some of the MIM strats?

I mean... the new Squiers are smooth as silk, and some of the MIM's should come with their own stitches kit.

So.... are these smooth all the way up...or just "not too bad?"..... cause if I feel frets.... I have to pay to have that done.

Thanks

Great looking strat, I've got one that looks just like it. I think the sharp or at least annoying fret ends might be the result of a drier climate and/or central heating. Here in Florida I've never had that problem with two MIM strats I've owned and one I've worked on for a friend. Just another benefit of the sunshine state.. We got hammered hard with the real estate meltdown, good time to buy a house down here, no state income tax too. No I'm not in the real estate business, just passin' on a tip for any of y'all tired of snow. Dickey Betts lives about 15 miles or so south and Rick Derringer lives about 5 miles north..

Sweet! now I know where to advertise that I will soon be accepting new guitar students.

Would ya be interested in an Ibanez AX220QM ?
It's not in perfect shape as yours, but it's a mahogany body, maple, rosewood neck and fretboard...Quilted maple top...or veneer...I can't tell the difference.
