Carvins are great. My mainstay is a Carvin DC400TA. I'd take one over anything but my late-70s and early-80s vintage, WCR-equipped Ibanez guitars, with which they are even (after a pickup change -- I recommend Suhr -- though certain Carvin pickups are excellent). And your guitar looks really nice. EMGs are not my tone, but for someone this would be a dream guitar, if only they knew how good Carvins are....

Unfortunately, Nick is right. Their resale value, though improving this past year or so, is still not good. If you really want to sell it, instead of trying other pickups, put it on Ebay and see what happens. You won't get close to your $1000, but you will get a reality check, unfair as it might seem.

As for SRV BLUZ MAN -- The insults accomplish nothing, brother. Here you've got a fellow musician who perhaps could use a little guidance, yes, but none of us need a fart in the face or kick in the teeth. Should we assume that you are stinking drunk when you post? Get help, friend!

Absolutely a beautiful Carvin! Seems like even in the forums, this BS goes on. I used to see it in the classifieds here for years, smartass comments, but the forums have gotten terrible. Moderator?? BTW, somebody would be getting a very nice piece here.

If it had the stock Carvin pups in it I would be offering you my 2008 Fender American Standard Strat as an even trade, but you would have to kick in some $$$ to compensate me for buying stock Carvin pups.

I have a DC400 with a Wilkinson trem, a DC127 with a FT6, all I need is a DC with a TOM bridge and I'll be complete.

Of course if you want to kick in $1000+ you could possibly have my 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard.
