WTT: Gibson SG Classic

This guitar is now off the market!

Seems that my action was so low, that it was choking off the notes. One little twist of the bridge studs, and now I'm a fan of P90's!

Thanks to everyone that inquired about this guitar.

This thing is just about perfect, with the usual pickmarks on the guard. Sounds and plays great--lowest action of any guitar I've ever owned or played. Frets are perfect.

Sounds great, but I've discovered P90's just aren't for me.

Comes with the deluxe Gibson bag it came with, or I could possibly throw in a Musician's Friend hardshell case to help even out a trade. For the right trade I could also kick in a little cash, but I'd like to keep it as even as possible.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Gibson Les Paul Double Cut--DC Pro or Standards (I want the trapezoid inlays!), but no black/gray green or blue bursts

Gibson SG Standard in Heritage Cherry

Gibson Les Paul Faded Standard

Possibly a Tokai ES-335

American Hamer Archtop/Studio

Please feel free to PM any questions, or email me at morglan@aol.com

Here are some pics:

(Please note: what you see on the pickguard in the above picture is simply a reflection of the mesh part of a baby gate that we use to keep our dogs on the back deck--not scratches on the guard!)

Thanks for looking!

Let's give it another try--been interested in Japanese ES-335 copies lately--any interest?

Some other trade ideas:

The usual: LPDC, SG Standard

Others:

American Hamers
Edwards/Tokai/etc. Les Pauls
ES-335s

What else do you have? And other interesting combinations?

Sell for cash outright, or any interest in my sig?

Thanks for the offer, but at this point I'm really just looking to try to trade. Really just looking for an SG Standard, LPDC, or Japanese LP or 335 copies.

I've thought about it, but I don't really want the minibuckers, and I wouldn't want to rout it out for humbuckers.

You can get a new pickguard already routed for humbuckers pretty cheap I would say. Keep this to switch it to stock later. :idk: Nice looking guitar though.
