Members peach
Seems there are a lot of experts on this issue, I'm being sarcastic. First: do you spend more time on the computer than on a guitar?Second: Is your guitar on a wall, locked away in a vault for future investment? If so, I got a bridge you can buy in Brooklyn.Third: Anybody old enough to remember Gibson in the Seventies and early Eighties? Garbage is an understatement.Fourth: Well known/respected luthiers: Max, Derrick, Guitar Trader, others...If it wasn't for these guys, none of you would have the Historic division at Gibson. These guitars kill, were far superior to anything made back then and since. Although the Historics are incredible, there is a hefty price to go along with them. You still do not get a 100% nitro-cellulose finish, Gibson uses plasticizer in the finishing process. $5K cost for a `58 Korina V? CRAZY!Fifth: Do you know how many `58 `59 & `69 Original bursts have been retopped with a killer maple cap?Sixth: Who cares what you own/play? If you're happy with your guitars & amps and they inspire you that's great. But to brag about it is retarded. Or offer any criticism for what other people have for sale is pathetic. Seventh: If you don't have the money for something keep your mouths shut, who cares what you think!Eigthth: Can you get light weight Mahogany, Killer Maple, Brazilian fingerboard, 100% nitro for under $3K? Members ajympt
Still doesn't answer the question what is the point of this post? If you are trying to be a dick about Gibsons, well good for you, but I think you will find a lot of people around here are very open minded about guitar brands ( not everyone of course). I agree that people don't need to dis other peoples sales just because it may be a cheaper guitar brand or something, but if its a clarification or to point out that something is not what it is advertised to be then thats going to continue-a lot of people do get aggitated about replicas that have the headstock and logo etc- there are some great Gibby style guitars out there, by all means get one if that's what you want. If you are just trolling, go somewhere else.
Members kingsransom
Is this supposed to be a FOR SALE ad? If so, what are you selling, other than controversy?
