It just doesn't seem like i'll ever have time away from my telecaster to spend with this thing. Unfortunately, i don't know much about it. Its definitely got an unfinished maple fretboard and some pretty fat sounding single coils. But overall nothing too fancy, just a really straight forward made in america strat. I got it in trade a while ago to someone in town for a really cool yamaha sg.

I'm looking to sell it for 340 plus shipping (you get the quality levy guitar case too!).

Or trade it for any midi/cv related things i really need to purchase a guitar to midi converter for some art projects, but i'd be interested in your ehx pog, condenser microphones, moog gear or whatever else you've got just make me an offer.

those pickups are very reminiscent of Mexican strat pickups. I've been through alot of them!

Still, man I love that neck. If it was a lefty, you would have money in your paypal right now! haha

Good luck

Yeah... i wish i knew more about the pickups... there is some information on those stickers... i think just to show they are tested, but i dont know much about pickups and have no idea how to identify them, and tips?

the neck is really cool though! I think a black pick-guard would finish it off.

In a few days, can't be any longer than a week, once the people that owe me money pay me...I WILL buy this if you still have it. But I would like to know a little more about its specs. What kind of single coils, tuners, body wood, etc. And the thing that worries me is that the fretboard appears to have some black smudges on it. Is that getting wiped off the inlay and going onto the rest of the fretboard?

EDIT: And also...is the bridge routed for a hum?

sweet!...unfortunately like i said, im sorry that i dont know anything about the pickups and really cant find anything out because they don't have any writing on them just stickers that indicate they've all been tested....same really with the body and tuners... the body obviously being warmoth does have really nice grain and seems like pretty nice wood. Probably ash or alder. It seems heavy more like an ash but i cant tell with the laminate. The neck and fingerboard are definitely maple and it is definitely unfinished(which is why there are black smudges.) It is just from dirty fingers, some people like it that way. As dirty as it is, it is relatively new and the black smudges totally come off if you use your favorite solvent or oil or whatever.. you can also take it to a shop and have it buffed and sealed so that it never gets dirty, but then it wont be unfinished maple and won't play the same. and also... the bridge is routed for a humbucker! someone asked me earlier so i peeked in there and checked...

Nice Strat! I have a Waterstone Carnaby semi hollow body w p90s' or a JTSG with Mean 90s' trade??

thanks for the offer... the carnaby with the natural finish is cool looking guitar but... i really need the money right now for school. I do have a question though... are those waterstone guitars made in the usa? I know its a usa company but cant seem to find where they are made.

So here's the deal. I've been trying to sell this to get some cash for my rent. I was asked to take the neck off to see if the parts were indeed Warmoth. Stupid me didn't know that all Warmoth bodies/necks were stamped in the cavity. When I took off the neck, they were both blank. Now my question for you, theepicproblem is did you know this before you sold it? Were you trying to screw someone over and take advantage of their ignorance ie. me? Did you know the Strat was made with random parts, and did you just throw a fake Warmoth decal on to make it look legit? I guess what I'm trying to say is your story of getting it 2nd hand and not knowing the complete details is the perfect cover story and I guess I'll never really know if I got taken. Reply here.

I just wish I would have figured this out months ago when I bought it, so I could have gotten my money back.

All apologies really man! I tried to indicate in the ad that i really knew very little about the guitar. I've really only owned 4 electric guitars in my life so from first hand experience i really can't say i know what a real warmoth label or stamp looks like. I'd seen pictures of warmoth... looked them up online, even checked to see if most of the parts matched those available from warmoth and an approximate value... but i don't have the experience to make those kind of judgements... I offered to sell the guitar the best i could (but i really am not a guitar expert) and priced it accordingly...

Well that's just a sh*tty situation than. Whoever you bought it from probably lied to you because the only thing Warmoth about it is the fake decal on the headstock. The body and neck definately aren't. Unless Warmoth stopped putting their stamp on all their stuff. Like I said before my loss was your gain

I don't believe this for a second. Thanks for bringing this joker out in the open as a scam artist. If you looked them up online and checked the parts for a match you couldn't have NOT known about their trademark stamp in the neck pocket. You sir are a liar and not a very good one.
