NEEDS TO SELL FAST!

Well if any of you saw the whole fiasco in the Electric Guitar section of HC, you'll know my history with this guitar. It's undoubtedly one of the finest Telecasters I've played, however, it's not what I was lead to believe it was. It's a customized '52 style Telecaster relic built by Billy Rowe of www.rocknrollrelics.net, and I was lead to believe it was genuine '52 before the fine folks here let me know I had been had. Right now the guy who sold it to me is avoiding me at all costs, so I guess I'd rather just go ahead and see what I can get for it so I can purchase something I'm entirely sure of.

Mind you, this may not make sense to a lot of you. This is a great guitar, definitely one of the best sounding and most versatile Teles I've played, but it's just not what I thought it was. It's a looker too.

Now for the actual advertising.

The body is made of select ash and resonates for hours. It's also very lightweight, and only comes in around 5 lbs. on my scale. The finish is nitro with very modest and convincing relic work. All hardware is genuine Fender USA with a light relic'd look, but that goes without saying. The pickguard is a nice thick bakelite, too, completing that classic blackguard look.

The neck is maple with a great vintage tint and relicing, and the tuners haven't gone out of tune since I got it. The neck is one of the special things about this guitar, as it is thicker than most Telecaster necks, a lot like the necks you will find on the Baja Telecasters, and I find it to be much more comfortable. The frets are also medium jumbo sized for fast fret work.

Perhaps the best part of the guitar are the pickups, which are a $300 set of Lindy Fralins. Not only are these the quietest Tele pickups I've played, but they're the roundest an warmest on all settings without destroying any of that classic Tele tone. Very versatile. The bridge has all the twang you could need and sounds great overdriven, the middle position is fat and chunky and gives a sort of humbucker sound and is my personal favorite position, and the neck pickup is great for blues and jazz; it's thick and meaty while still being smooth and subtle.

$900 shipped O.B.O. + 3% Paypal fee. Cost $1,800 new, guy was selling for $1,500.

Here are the pics, and please PM me your offers and feel free to ask any questions. Comes with gig bag and will be professionally shipped.

what are you looking for in trade?

At this point, because I spent so much money on this eBay/ Live Search deal, I'd be looking for something I can get with a little extra cash. MIM/ MIJ Jazzmasters or Jaguars and '72 Deluxe Telecasters are mostly what I'm looking for.

I own a couple of Billy Rowe's relics and i can vouch for there quality, he uses the best woods and parts and does as good a job relicing as any Nash or CS Fender out there, here is a pic of my "burnt tele" from Billy
