Hi All!

I'm selling an awesome, super rare Fernandes H-80 Vertigo electric guitar (HARDSHELL CASE INCLUDED). These are nearly impossible to find these days, along with its little brother the H-65. The last one of these on Harmony Central sold for $550 shipped just a few weeks ago. I'm offering this for $525 shipped, the same price I have it up for on ebay (the Buy It Now price + Shipping):

The H-80 is the predecessor to the Fernandes Vertigo line of guitars (such as the Deluxe and Elite), except this one was made in the late 90's (somewhere from 97 to 99) and was built with top-notch craftsmanship in Japan (not in China, where they make them now). Japanese guitar craftsmanship from the 80's and 90's is some of the best you'll find, being superior to many of the USA-built guitars of the time.

The serial number is 036325. This has definitely got to be one of my favorite styles of guitar. The body shape is awesome and unique but still feels great sitting or standing. I don't play guitar much anymore, so I figure it makes sense to sell it to somebody who does, considering I need the cash.

It plays great, with nice low action. It has the original Gotoh tuners and Gibson Firebird-style mini-humbuckers. It's built with a solid mahogany body, bolt-on mahogany neck, and has a sweet pearl pickguard and binding on the neck (with cool pearl inlays). The color is a rich, deep mahogany brown stain letting the color of the natural wood shine through.

These originally sold for $1,000 in the late nineties, and the new Vertigo Deluxes and Vertigo Elites are selling at $800 and $900 street prices, respectively. It's in fantastic shape and only has a few minor dings (a slight dimple on the headstock, and 2-3 small dings on the edge of the body--see the photo of the worst scratch). The case is in excellent shape and is the original that came with the guitar and is custom fit for it. I should mention the hard shell case does have one sticker on it that you could probably remove and some scuffs along the edge (nothing major).

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'm selling this in the continental U.S. (I'm in San Jose, CA if by chance somebody wants to do local pick up). Thanks for looking! (my photography isn't the best--sorry for the handful of blurry pictures--I think I represented the true color pretty well, however)

just when i dont have any money my dream guitar goes up for sale.. i want one so bad but im lackin in the cash right now.

Who knows, maybe it'll still be around later when you do have the cash :-) It pains me to sell it. I love the guitar, but I have a couple electrics and I've had the other two for 15 years or so, so they have a little more sentimental value for me than this one. I remember seeing the ads for these in Guitar World back in the 90's when they first came out and fell in love with the design. Fernandes definitely makes some sweet axes.

I'm new to Harmony Central and found this post, did you sell your Fernandes H-80 Vertigo? If so may I ask what was the selling value. I've been looking for a H-80 model since I sold mine about 5 years ago, mine was silver but I always wanted the natural brown mahogany. Thanks again,
