Hey Folks,

So, here's the deal: I'm listing on ebay, with NO RESERVE and starting at only $0.01 an original Kevin Pederson creation. Kevin's abyss guitars are handmade, master luthier class instruments. Kevin specializes in hollow archtops.

read about Kevin here in Premium Guitar:

http://www.premierguitar.com/Magazine/Issue/2007/Apr/Abyss_Guitars.aspx

This is a semi-hollow, chambered archtop guitar. Inspired by Trey Anastasio's Langedoc, which sell for $10k. Buy this Abyss new and you'll fork out about $5k.

I am a tone freak, and spent two years searching for the ultimate hollow/semi-hollow. I loved hollows (had a high-end casino at one point) but hated that they were prone to uncontrollable squeeling feedback live. I played dozens of semis - a bunch of Gibson 335s, a bunch of Ibanez high ends, Sadowskys, a slew of Eastman guitars, etc. I ended up buying this guitar from a friend - it was the end of my tone quest.

Normally, I would not sell this, but I had a major life change - my newborn son (who's crying as I type). Given this change, I've decided to switch to acoustic only these days. I need to sell this guitar to finance buying the acoustic of my dreams now.

Feel free to PM me with any questions or requests for more photos.

Thanks for looking.

Cheers,

Tom

Thanks Fabulus. Yeah, this thing is a dream, and actually until very recently was my pride and joy; my number 1 so speak.. Then my son was born and he's now my new #1 :thu:

And so, I'm becoming a good ole' acoustic man and am shooting to buy my dream acoustic to replace this one. I wouldn't sell this Abyss if I could - but I need to cash to finance for the quite pricey custom acoustic I'm aiming for.

If interested, I encourage you to try for it within your budget....you never know. Thanks for your interest and comments!

Anyway i will watch that E-bay listing with interest !!!

Nice axe.Almost had me into the fray 'til I saw you are USA ony. 'Tanks God, I really can't afford it anyways, and I still wanna hold out for a Daion Headhunter.

Don't be too worried about a lack of bids. It's E-Bay, and everyone's gonna try to snipe it in the last 10 seconds.

Good luck and congrats.

Thanks for the bump and nice comment. Yup, this guitar is nice - aside from wonderful playability and tone, the Koa top is beautiful.

Yeah, I unfortunately can't ship outside the US with this thing. I shipped one other semi high value item (~$1000) and I had problems with the buyer. That experience has turned me off on international shipping.

Good luck!
