as i said, parts not as described. i didn't expect a warranty, but i didn't expect a pickguard that looks like a shrunken potato chip with a dead pickup.
i used a VOLTMETER when i tested the pickup- you used a screwdriver with which you hit the pickup.
and the guards on ebay have been there for months because the prices are too high. if your parts had been such a deal, they wouldn't have been on HC for over half a year until i found them.
i suggested you pay for the rewind (a measly $40) so you could show some good faith.

you said you wanted me to be happy with the purchase, but you "took the money and ran".

Buyers beware.

My First Reply;

That Pickguard Assembly Was Removed From My 1965
12 String Over 20 Years Ago.

It Sat In Bubble Wrap In That Envelope In a Drawer.

I Can't Control Shinkage, The Pickguad Is Nitro.
(I Told James This, and He Also Knows This)

James Said "1 Half Of The Neck Pickup
(1 Coil Closest To The Neck) Didn't Work".

He Wanted Me To Pay For The Rewind.

James,
That Pickup Assembly Was Perfect Cond.
Never Soliderd on or Touched By Anyone.
The Pickup Covers Were Never Removed.

You Can't Expect a Warranty On Something 45+ Years Old.

You Got It In The Same Cond, as I Removed It From The Guitar.

The Same Pickguard Without Pickups on The Bay,
Sells For Over 300.00 - 500.00 Without Pickups, Switch, or Wired.
James Knows This and So Do I.

There's 2 - 60's Fender 12 String Pickguards on The Bay Right Now,
1 is 299.00 (White) and the Other
Is 499.99 (Red Tortise Shell)
Both Without Pickups or The Rotary Switch.

I Tested Both Pickups and The Rotary Switch For Output,
Before I Went and Sent It, From The Post Office.

James Is Posting This, Because, I Wouldn't Pay For a Rewind.

He Said "He Could Get It Rewound Locally For 40.00".

I'm Not a Store, or a Manufacturer.

I Can't Provide a Warranty
on a 45 Year Old Pickguard Assembly!
--------------------------------------------------------

My Second Reply;

No James!

Just The Pickguard Is 400.00
(Without Pickups, This Is a Nitro Guard, Not Plastic)

I Didn't Search Just One Time.

I've Searched It Several Times
Over The Years.

Try To Take My Rep. Down On Here,
For 40.00 Rewind.

Your Getting 0 From Me.
Especially Now.
Just Like I Told You From The Start.

How Long I've Had It Advertised, In My Ad,
Has Nothing, To Do With It.

Just Like I Stated Yesterday,
It's All About a 40.00 Rewind.

Sure James,
Of Course, I Want You To Be Happy!
But, It's Not Going To
Happen.

Especially When You Say Things Like,
Shrunken Potato Chip, took the money and ran
and Buyers Beware!

If I Took The Money and Ran,
You Wouldn't Have The Pickguard Assembly.

I Didn't Bang (Hit) The Pickups,
I Tapped on Them Lightly With a Screwdriver
and Rotated The Switch Through My
Fender Super Reverb For Output.

I'm Not a Store,
I'm a Guitar Player, Selling Off Some Gear.
If You Were To Buy, This Guard, at a Vintage Store,
or Vintage Guitar Gear Website.
If You Could Find It.

You Would Pay, Way Over,
What James Paid.

James Paid 399.00 U.S.D.
Then I Paid The Shipping, To His Store.

So, He Got The Guard, For 387.00
Shipped.

a Measly $40.00 is, Over 10%
Of The Full Amount You Paid Me For
The Pickguard Assembly, Shipped.

Here's What Guys, Like James are Doing.

They Low Ball You From The Start.
They Buy Gear From You, Then They Pick it Apart,
Untill They Find Something Wrong With It,
and Then Want You To Refund Money Back
or Send Them a Money Order.

This Is All Over The Bay, and Other Big Guitar Sites.

To Me, Straight Up,

James Post,

is 100%

a Joke!

Thanks
Steve

Jeez...can't get away from this crap even on HC. Take your scams back to Ebay.

Hope you stick around Steve.
