Members soma89
Up for grabs is a beautiful Martin D-12-20 twelve-string guitar from very early 1966, or end of 65`. NICE condition. Brazilian rosewood bridge, original tortoise shell pickguard and binding, original tuners. 12 fret, slotted headstock, mahogany back and sides, solid spruce top. Super lightweight, resonant, body. A very small crack repaired just under the pickguard, finish cracking throughout, body does have a little bit of bellying and wear marks, nicks etc. Intonation is very good, looks great, solid light bracing, maple bridge plate, 1/10`of bridge left. Had a neck reset and refret 2011 by local luthier. Plays LIKE NEW. New, extra light strings on it. Great tuned to standard pitch, but can really do the Leo Kottke thing tuned down, with some heavier gauge strings. EXTRAS - Roadrunner Hardshell case, Shubb 12 string Capo included. Soulful axe. These mid 60`s versions are braced much LIGHTER than the ones made after late 1966, therefore more sought-after.
