Members bluestonex
I bought this new and it has hardly been played. Still in perfect condition with no wear or scratches anywhere. The GS Grand Symphony body is very comfortable. Very similar to the x14 Grand Auditorium body, but just slightly bigger providing more volume and more bass. Blackwood is like Koa on crack. If you like Koa, you'll love blackwood. Even if you don't particularly like Koa (like me), you probably still will love blackwood! It has the fullness and complexity of mahogany but the strong highs and lows of rosewood and has more zing than both. Not to mention the beautiful maple-like figuring. Unfortunately, I am in the midst of home buying and need to free up money. You can email me at bluestonexATgmail.com From Taylor: The Taylor 2010 Spring Limited Edition 516ce Grand Symphony Acoustic-Electric Guitar showcases rich Tasmanian blackwood backs and sides. Known as a cousin of koa, blackwood shares koa's blend of midrange bloom, top end brightness, and overall tone that will sweetly mellow over time. The Grand Symphony 516ce is topped with Sitka spruce graced with ivoroid binding, an abalone rosette, and an all-gloss finish. was $2100 now $1950
