Members 7isbetter Posted August 15, 2006 Members Share Posted August 15, 2006 i just got a great Peavey 5150 amp head, it's my first all tube stack amp. i need a good cab tho. i play progressive metal like dream theater and symphony x. i use 7 strings with active emgs. i was gonna buy a cheap valveking cab but the guys at the store said that it wouldnt last long with hte head and my style of playing. they suggested a marshall, mesa, or VHT. something alon gthose lines, they also said that it should be a straigt cab, not slanted......any thoughts, is this true or were they trying to get me to pay more. and if not does anyone have a good cab for sale?
