Members owlsliveintrees Posted August 24, 2006 Members Posted August 24, 2006 Hi kids. Good news. The time has come for me to unload the tone monster. Will you be the one with killer tone that all the noobs on the block envy? I'm looking to get 1000 dollars for it. 50ST, 2-12 combo, footswitch, the whole thing. I just had it totally retubed by star guitars in Mount Kisco. The thing is sick. It was originally the amp that the VHT artist rep would bring around to sell gigging bands on VHTs. Also, you'll be cooler than the other kids on the block with VHTs because this puppy is top mounted which means it's looks even sicker!! I'd love to keep it, but it's way too much amp for my purposes. It's really loud. Playing tiny coffee houses with this monster is a disservice to the amp itself and to the people at VHT. I want someone to take this amp, and just blow away the first 5 rows, not squash the power amp trying to keep the baristas from yelling at you. Now, shipping this thing would suck a lot, so i'd like to keep it in the tri-state area where I can deliver it to you. That way we don't have to worry about UPS dropping it, and you can hear this puppy in action before you splurge. Not that I doubt you'll love it, but it's nice to hear it before you drop a lot of money on high end gear. I plugged it in at the amp shop and quickly shut it off because i knew if I kept playing it I wouldn't be able to sell it. It's awesome. If you're not going for the uber-huge gain of the Ultra Lead but still need to rock, it's a great amp. My friends and me joke about it, whenever it gets mentioned someone goes "RARRRRRRR TONE.....GAINNNNNNNNN! ROOARRRR. This amp will put you on your ass. I have pics, so if you want to see it shoot me an email, owlsliveintrees@gmail.com

Looking at his studio photos, you would think he owns VHT! Steve's just a forumite with an addiction to tone. VHT tone.
