Blue Voodoo 300W Head

I have a mint Crate Blue Voodoo BV300HB available for immediate sale in NH. This piece was never gigged with and has under 100 hours of play time on it. It was used in a "basement band" for a short period and simply put, this is MUCH more amp than I need. I can ship or this can be a local pickup, but I have no idea what shipping would be on this.

The piece is about three years old and has no flaws or damage.

I paid retail (2499) a few years back and would obviously like to recoup as much as possible so I am accepting all Reasonable offers. As a side note, this piece was bought from an authorized dealer (Guitar Center in Cambridge MA) and all seriel numbers are intact.

Not to be rude but please don't shoot me any offers below 1200.

I will be leaving this on classifieds for a few weeks and best offer will take it.

PM me with any questions or concerns.

-Zach

I was wanting to get a BV150 / BV300 but it's hard to find them.

But I can't imagine them selling for $2500 new. WoW! You can get a top of the line Mesa or a Diezel for that.

I'm sure your price is reasonable, but damn!!! Who would have thought a crate would be valued for so much.

They must be decent amps, you hardly ever see them for sale.

Good Luck :thu:

Here are some specs taken from thier website. The Tubes they use in this are nasty.....great hard rock or metal amp. I believe Marty Freidman (Megadeth) still uses them exclusively.

holy {censored}! I can't picture ever needing that much power behind me. 2 guitars running 100 tube watts each is killing my ears at practice and on stage as it is. my home rig, a Mesa 2:100 runs at most 1/4 open on the volume for both channels.

must be getting old.

Unfortunately, the price will not go any lower. Until I am in a position where I NEED to sell this, (which will probably never happen) it'll stay at what it is.

Anyway tho, that is a great deal on Ebay right now. Snap it up.

thanks,

Zach

To where do you ship this? Only US or also Europe? I might be interested in buying it at some point though not right now. What kind of music did you play with it? Does it include a footswitch?

I would think i could ship it anywhere, I just don't know what it would cost. I used to jam out with some of the guys from Deadwater Drowning for a short while before they stopped writing. You could call it metal if you want.

The footswitch would of course be included tho.

thanks,

Ahh, did I miss something? We're talking Crate amp right?

cmon, are you trying to tell me that Crate can't do metal???

It's certainly good enough for some decent names out there.

I'm a little shocked

For anyone wondering, this is what they go for used in a retail chain store. I bet you could walk out the door with it for $750, maybe less.
http://www.daddys.com/used/?itemnumber=CRA0083A

Please call the store before posting stuff like this.....

They are advertized wrong. The 120 watt head is what they are selling for 800 bucks...

Seriously if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

give em a ring.

That was highly unusual for them so I did call. They do not charge 799 for bv120's, the tag was switched. Someone probably walked away with a bv300 priced as a 120, who knows. When Daddys gets a bv300 in stock they are priced in that range, feel free to call back.
