Thanks. http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp68/thevolk_1982/my{censored}/100_0359.jpg http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp68/thevolk_1982/my{censored}/100_0357.jpg
Members Philo Beddoe Posted November 21, 2008 Members Posted November 21, 2008 I opened up my 1982 JCM800 cab last nite expecting to find V30's, (the guy I bought the cab from said that's what it was loaded with, and much to my surprise I found it still had the stock Celestions in it, which I believe by the stamps on each speaker are the stock speakers. They sound fantastic. These speakers go for around 210/each new. Let me know if anyone has any interest in these.http://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp68/thevolk_1982/my{censored}/100_0359.jpghttp://i398.photobucket.com/albums/pp68/thevolk_1982/my{censored}/100_0357.jpg Couple of corrections....the V30's did not come out till mid to late 1986 and u can get the Heritage 65's brand new from Avatar speakers for around $160 plus $8 shipping each....I've read the 82 and 83 '65's were the best sounding as Celestion made several design changes over the years during their first run....78 to 83 I think and they got them right during the last couple of years.
Members Volk Posted November 21, 2008 Author Members Posted November 21, 2008 I knew the cabinet didn't come stock with vintage 30's the guy told me the speakers had been upgraded, I had never bothered to open it up and look to that point because they sounded good, I was just bored the other night.

Members Volk Posted November 21, 2008 Author Members Posted November 21, 2008 Phil, I am trying to find where you found the g12 65 heritage for 160bucks on the Avatar website. Can you provide an email from Dave at avatar to validate this? That's an awesome price.
Members halfdriven Posted November 21, 2008 Members Posted November 21, 2008 The sad thing here is all Volk wants to do is sell or trade some gear. Why is he forced to defend his gear because of a invalid comment by someone that is obviously not interested in buying or trading at all? Thank you for the free opinion and for demonstrating your stellar ability to find pricing on the web. Obviously you have a considerable amount of free time.
Members Philo Beddoe Posted November 21, 2008 Members Posted November 21, 2008 The sad thing here is you obviously don't get it....if he would've posted the asking price of $210 and left it @ that then it would have been all good but when you post that such n' such place is charging a certain amount for whatever then that opens another can of worms because there could be a lot of places that sale the same thing....send a email to dave@avatarspeakers.com and he will send you the price list....Avatar buys Celestions by the thousands....thats the reason they can be cheaper anyone else.
