Members metal0822 Posted November 20, 2008 Members Posted November 20, 2008 ON EBAY: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180308299149 Hey all, I just traded away my guitar in hopes to replace it. Unfortunately (and fortunately) I got a great trade deal on an amp that I could not refuse, so now I have two amps. There is a guitar at guitar center that I must have, but I need to sell this amp before I can get it. The guitar is used and a great deal and Im gassing for it hardcore. If nobody here wants this amp, I will be trading it in at GC this weekend probably for a fraction of what it is worth, and some stupid kid will probably snag it and trash it...but again I dont really care because I want that guitar. On to details: Mine is the older style with the grille on the bottom. This thing sounds great!!!! There are a couple issues though, as should be expected with these things, its OLD. anyways, here are the problems...1. Ampeg logo from grille is missing...no biggie, does not affect functionality.2. Knob for rate on chorus section is missing...again, the actual potentiometer is there, and turnable, does not affect functionality.3. Plate on rear that covers reverb tank does not bolt in because the wood is cracked...AGAIN, is completely cosmetic.4. There are a couple screws missing here and there but this thing is built like a tank and everything is bolted down, so nothing is loose and nothing will fall off.HERE IS THE ONLY FUNCTIONAL PROBLEM!5. The push/pull pot to switch channels likes to stick on channel a for some reason, unless you get down its tricks. sometimes you have to push it in all the way and then leave a little slack and it will change channels after doing this. any footswitch with a 1/4" cable (i.e. any marshall footswitch) can plug into this amp for channel changing and there you go. you will never even need to change channels with the pot, so no problem (except resale value). DONT LET GUITAR CENTER STEAL THIS FROM ME. I would like a quick sale and I am willing to work with buyers to get the right price, and I understand for optimal use that you will need to purchase a footswitch. If you are interested in the least bit please let me know as soon as possible. NO LOWBALLERS, I would rather trade it in, and have some stupid kid take it home than get ripped off by some jerk on here. Thank you all!
