Members fuzzfan1 Posted January 12, 2009 Members Posted January 12, 2009 According to the Hamer website, this a 1997 Standard Custom. There are a couple of nice dings/scrapes which I tried to capture in the attached pics. There are quite a few swirls and light scratches, but they are all on the surface. All in all this axe is in pretty good shape. The neck is straight with no issues. I recently had it refretted(Dunlop 6105) at Schroeder Guitar and Repair in Chicago. In addition I had a Tone Pros Bridge/Locking Tailpiece, Bone Nut and a Duncan JB installed. I included a pic of the receipt that lists all of this. The Hamer case is included, but it is pretty beat up(see pics). It works perfectly and more than serves it's purpose. All the original hardware is included along with the stock Duncan '59. I'm looking for $1500.00 shipped if paying by USPS Money Order and $1565.00 if using Pay Pal. The ONLY trades I'd be interested in would be for a Splawn Quick Rod, Competition or Nitro +/- Cash. If you have any questions, PLEASE feel free to shoot a PM or email my way. Thanks, Erich fuzzfan1@wi.rr.com

Members fuzzfan1 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Members Posted January 19, 2009 pricey for a refret. You get what you pay for and Schroeder's is considered by many to be the best in the Chicago area.
Members peedenmark7 Posted January 19, 2009 Members Posted January 19, 2009 not knocking the refret or the folks that did it...I was just pointing out that I think its pricey compared to what unmodded non special order gstc's are currently bringing. cool piece though.I'm sure it will find its way to a new home.
Members fuzzfan1 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Members Posted January 19, 2009 Well I'm a reasonable person and fully aware that the used gear market SUCKS right now. Point being I'm open to any and all reasonable offers at this point. Never hurts to ask! not knocking the refret or the folks that did it... I was just pointing out that I think its pricey compared to what unmodded non special order gstc's are currently bringing. cool piece though. I'm sure it will find its way to a new home.
