Members funky Posted December 1, 2002 Members Posted December 1, 2002 Hello Everyone, Johan has once again surprised me by adding a new program to the main page at Click Here. It's an amazing tool for finding chords, seeing scales, modes. Everything for your guitar theory reference needs in one very powerful package. Just go to the page and start messing with it. You'll love it!!! It's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. Summary Of Features- Click on notes on the neck to find chord names. Shows complete breakdown with note names or intervals. Right and Left Hand view option. Every Scale you'd ever want to play. All the modes from any root. Point and click, easy to use interface, with immediate results. Have Fun!!!! Later, Brett
Members Russ T Nail Posted December 1, 2002 Members Posted December 1, 2002 Brett, that is one very cool learning aid, even my steam driven PC handles it with ease. Can't wait to try out the C Prometheus Neapolitan Kudos to Johan. Russ T
Members r0g3r Posted December 1, 2002 Members Posted December 1, 2002 Awesome! Blows away the chord/scale tools at Wholenote.com and every other site I've seen as well.
Members Mr. Stevenson Posted December 4, 2002 Members Posted December 4, 2002 I've been looking (not too hard) for something just like this.
Members GuitarNazi Posted April 23, 2003 Members Posted April 23, 2003 does this still exist ? - having some trouble with the original link
Members funky Posted April 23, 2003 Author Members Posted April 23, 2003 Originally posted by GuitarNazi does this still exist ? - having some trouble with the original link I've edited the link. The admin must have changed the permissions on remote-linking to "not" include script. Just go to the new link and scroll down to the "Guitar Codex 2.1" link. Thanks for pointing this out for me!!!
Members Mongoloid Posted April 23, 2003 Members Posted April 23, 2003 I went their but the window under guitar codex has a red x in it.

You may have been looking while I was in the middle of the modifications. Try it now. Works on my Mac and PC.

Members funky Posted April 24, 2003 Author Members Posted April 24, 2003 Originally posted by Mongoloid nope still doesnt work, same thing, I WANT TO SEE IT SOOO BAAD!! Try this. It's the most direct link I can give you. Do not click this link from this window. Copy it into your browser, otherwise it will redirect you to my home page for some reason. I had to clear my cache just to get the direct link to work once I clicked on it in this forum window. Very weird. HC must dump some file onto the computer that is causing that. Never seen that before. Good luck. http://www.cyberjammin.com/codex.html
Members Mongoloid Posted April 24, 2003 Members Posted April 24, 2003 :( same thing, red x in the corner of the windowdo I need some specific app installed on my computer like flash? :(
Members funky Posted April 25, 2003 Author Members Posted April 25, 2003 Originally posted by Mongoloid :( same thing, red x in the corner of the window do I need some specific app installed on my computer like flash? :( Here is another link. I've uploaded it to my personal music website for you. Try this. Are you viewing with Netscape? That could possibly be it. Try Internet Explorer to view this file. Empty your cache, delete you cookes, then copy this link into your browser. Sorry it's such a pain in the ass, however, it is a great tool. If this fails, the send me an e-mail and I'll just send you the actual .jar and .html files that make this thing work. You can open it with your browser right on your hard drive. Pretty sweet.http://brettfunk.com/codex.htmlGood luck!!!Brett
Members funky Posted April 25, 2003 Author Members Posted April 25, 2003 I was actually able to directly link to this one from the forum window.http://brettfunk.com/codex.html
