Members tennisbum Posted December 15, 2002 Members Posted December 15, 2002 What is the best DVD or Book on the market for a beginner to learn the basics of playing a guitar? I'm a very visual person so if it's a book, I need A LOT of pictures. Thanks for the help. tb
Members tennisbum Posted December 15, 2002 Author Members Posted December 15, 2002 I should have specified that it was learning to play an ELECTRIC guitar. tb
Members dog online Posted December 16, 2002 Members Posted December 16, 2002 There are alot of them, Most students enjoy Fast track guitar that teaches alot of other instruments , that all go together , so you and your friends can play the music parts as a band also. These are books and CDS book one and book two and supplements. Another good method is the Wolf Marshall books and cds, notes and tab together : Basic s One , two , three , and supplement song books like fast track and an advanced concept book, they also have a primer which teaches you notes only and takes hardly any time to go through. There is emedia software guitar method , but I am not familiar with this one and two and is computer based only. Either of the top two should do you fine for starters. Kola books are good Progressive methods one and two , but are more traditional and a little boring, notes only. Go to www.stagepass.com and underquick find scroll down to guitar and under guitar you will find Wolf Marshall , and Fast track guitar methods, both have supplemental song books that are OK
