Members Keentwist Posted January 24, 2003 Members Posted January 24, 2003 DADGAD-Jimmy Page or two guitars comin from one tuning.
Members highpressur Posted January 24, 2003 Author Members Posted January 24, 2003 What are some of the open tunings? what about slide guitar tunings? Thanks
Members Keentwist Posted January 24, 2003 Members Posted January 24, 2003 DGDGBD-Open G. Good slide tuning as it's loaded with major chords.
Members tuesday Posted January 24, 2003 Members Posted January 24, 2003 my favourite tuning is DADFAD -- it's an open Dm. it gives you the dropped D which is great for power chords, and the upper three strings are in key too so that is great for full chords. i also really like tuning the bottom three strings in fifths - CGD, which makes power chords even easier than drop-d, because then your hand doesn't have to travel up the neck very much at all.
Members tramampoline Posted January 24, 2003 Members Posted January 24, 2003 Here's a rather lengthy list that I've compiled over a long time. I obviously don't use all of them extensively, but I have my favorites (EADGBD, DADFCE, DADC#AC#, BEDGBE, EbBbFBbBC). Anyways, just experiment with em'. There are (obviously) a lot of possibilities out there. E TuningsEADGBD - Flip DEGCACE - C6EbBbFBbCC# - AmbientEAC#F#BEEABGBE - JoshEABGBD - Josh Alt.EADGAD - McLachlanEF#BEAD
