Members bad_guitar_player Posted March 21, 2003 Members Posted March 21, 2003 anybody know the name for this chord? F# minor something? E --A --D -- 4G -- 2B -- 4E -- 4
Members Phil Brigham Posted March 21, 2003 Members Posted March 21, 2003 I'm used to TAB where it's like this: E B G D A E If you mean 4th string , 4th fret (F#) - 3rd string, 2nd fret (A) - 2nd string, 4th fret (D#) - 1st string, 4th fret (G#), then it is an F#m6 with a 9th added, or a B13th (with no root nore)

Members Mike_E_McGee Posted March 22, 2003 Members Posted March 22, 2003 I would use these as either 7b9, or -7b9 voicings. I've got the root on the high string, and no third (hence the ambiguity between minor and dominant).
Members WattsUrizen Posted March 22, 2003 Members Posted March 22, 2003 It's a chord which resolves quite well to C# minor, since the D#-A is the characteristic tritone of that key.
