Members stevehollx Posted April 10, 2003 Members Posted April 10, 2003 minor [nat, harmonic, melodic] modes? arpeggios? diminished scales? or you could just learn to play the major modes well.
Members edeltorus Posted April 10, 2003 Members Posted April 10, 2003 Ok. Ive got all the modes of the major scale down. Whats next? Just a question, Do you have only memorized and practiced the scales, so you can play them up'n'down, or do you have also learned to use them in a musical context? That makes a big difference. Nils
Members jt9057 Posted April 10, 2003 Author Members Posted April 10, 2003 Im learning to use them in a musical context at the moment by recording chord progressions and soloing over top of that using the major scale modes. I was just wondering what step i should take next.
