Members Auggie Doggie Posted July 1, 2003 Members Posted July 1, 2003 I've made a couple of warmup exercises in Power Tab, and saved them as Adobe .pdf files. They are zipped, along with a brief explanation, in the attachment included here. While they are not particularly musical, and not very pleasing to listen to, they are very effective in getting your hands ready for a practice session. In addition to the purely physical aspects, they're also designed to give some practice with unusual subdivisions....so you get a little bit of a rhythmic challenge while warming your hands up. Have fun....and don't hurt yourselves...you CAN overdo it with these things, so take it easy. And set that metronome SLOW; it's a warmup, not a wind sprint. *edit: I forgot to mention that each measure is to be repeated until your hands have gotten completely used to it (ie it becomes effortless), and THEN move on to the next.
